For the last few weeks (since the most recent update?) the widget usually just spins the dots endlessly without displaying anything before it just times out and moves on to the next widget. Occasionally a posting will appear, then when I press the forward button it starts spinning again.
Other RSS based widgets such as Engadget continue to work just fine. Has anyone else seen this?
I loaded ChumbyiTunes Server for Windows (XP). It's running (1.0.0.34). The server says it can't find iTunes (which is also running)
The widget is stuck on Loading... (I entered th eIP and Tivo Key)
This widget is still not working in Belize. Im not able to add any of this streams.

This is broken - the Community Boating webcam URL seems to have changed. If you just load a picture with one of the URL viewers pointed at http://www.community-boating.org/cbicam/images/Cam1.jpg you'll do better than with this widget.
Cool concept, very nice. Didnt see any clock like that anywhere yet. Still playing with the small switches, Im not sure what every single one does. But thats the fun in it!
Thanks!
How do you configure the blimp message?
I've gone to customize and can type in text - but there is no confirm button - Hitting the "X" button is the only option and it doesn't save the text?
Develephant, hi and thanks for all your hard work! Has something changed recently? I now only get my own tweets using this widget (or exec for that matter). Perhaps there is a new setting in Twitter?
One thing is, I actually use my chumby as my sole clock, and it would be nice if the clock text could be a bit darker. Its hard for me to see the time across the room. just a thought. great widget!!
If set to celsius on the configuration page on the chumby, the temperature will switch back to fahrenheit after a while (reload or new data, I guess). Setting seems stable if it was done on this webpage.
Yes. You can only increase or decrease the time.
Sorry,I can't check chumby one,because I don't have it.
I will check when I can get it in Japan.
Regards.
Ratzfatz-san, Thank you for the information! Now I can play continously. Me and my family are enjoying a lot on this widget. If possible, hope you could add the function to sort the video as "latest", so each time I access, I could see the new ones. But anyhow, its very happy to have this widget on chumby. Thank you for the work!!
After I contacted them, the powers that be made a few more changes to the widget and it resolved my problem; I now get the messages displayed. Since I also have cox maybe it was related to that particular internet provider.
I agree with others that it would be nice to have "umlaut" (or whatever) support to view the local characters correctly. Fortunately there is a workaround to view characters correctly, by using for example Feedcombine which seems to "correct" the chars:
http://www.feedcombine.co.uk/
The biggest issue is that, as far as I know, you cannot go back to the "Can you spot the error" side of the card without switching to the next card and switching back – you ought to deactivate the "explain" and "correct" buttons to go back to the original question.
Nitpicking: The transitions between each card are kind of long and go in the wrong direction. If I take to long to read a card, the card disappears to the right, so I expected to find that card again by clicking to the right (even though that says next, but the interface ought to be intuitive). Some of the explanations are written with less than perfect grammar (using hyphens instead of dashes, capitalizing words unnecessarily, etc).
I agree...great widget. I was surprised that I didn't have to do anything to get basic authentication to work; just used a URL of http://user:passwword@[and the rest or the URL on my LAN] and it worked first time!
Great job and thank you :-)
Of course not.
You can see by my other widgets that I am capable of fixing this one. However, I do not have to time (doing other paid work and iPhone development) to fix this one. Donations have already enabled me to update some of my other widgets and "free" software.
works good, but only shows online or offline - no info about games or last time online... i use this page: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197973322008/friends
I love this widget yet suddenly it is no longer full screen and I can barely see the lovely snow shots from my desk. I hope that changes because I have so enjoyed just watching the winter street.
This is a great widget. I have two babycams running on it now. Thanks!
For those of you with Axis webcams, use the following URL construction:
http://[cam IP address]/jpg/image.jpg
and then set the image reload time in the widget to 1 second, or whatever you prefer.
For example- one of my cameras is at (internal) IP address of 192.168.1.125- so the URL I plugged into the widget is
http://192.168.1.125/jpg/image.jpg
This works for the Axis 207w and Axis 207mw.
>Foxy
It is not URL of http.
You must put the image on the http server.
If you can do perl programming, please check the following pages.

Oh yeah!!
What a great surprise!
I wasn't specting such a great improvement in this widget!!
Really, thanks very much, this is the widget I use the most...
For those who have problems getting this widget to display images from your gallery2 installation the problem likely is that your g2 image files are too large.
I have created an alternative method to display random gallery2 images using a small php script and the ImageURL widget. You can read about it here:

I just read that the Google App Engine still has problems (http://code.google.com/status/appengine) and is in read-only mode. That means, SearchTube will temporarily not be able to store additional favorites. Sorry for that.
Leeep, sorry to hear that it doesn't work for you. You should save the file WITHOUT an extension: the filename must be "debugchumby", NOT "debugchumby.txt", NOT "debugchumby.mht" or anything like that. You may simply do a RIGHT-click on the link above and then chose "save link as.." to save the file without extension. If you have already saved the file WITH an extension, you may RENAME the file and delete the .txt. If the ".txt" is not shown, change the folder options in the windows (file-)explorer, so that file-extensions are shown for known-filetypes. Or you may use "firefox" instead of Internet Explorer, which saves the file correctly, no matter how you click on it.
this debugchumby file doesn't seem to be working for me.
What should I save the file as? It opens in IE, when I do "save as", the file extension is .mht.
I also tried using notepad to save it as a .txt file.
Your Favorites (and the volume setting) are hosted at a Google Appengine Service, which is currently "temporarily down" (see http://code.google.com/status/appengine). That means you currently cannot access your favorites. I hope it doesn't take too long... Sorry for that.
This is by far my young daughter favorite widget.
As she's only 2, she struggle a bit, and end up clicking the back button rather than the 3rd video in the list.
Apart from that especially since the introduction of favorites it is just perfect.
