Simple Clock with big text. I wanted a clock which had the time in as big a text as possible, but also had the day and date, and presented it all in a simple, clearly readable format. New version with a different font, increased spacing, and re-jigged colouring. Includes year again. Space on the left will be used for a calendar (eventually).

Hi, Gret update - I REALLY like it. Looking forward to the enhancement of the calender :-) WOW, what a Chumby update this morning - NEw Firmware, NEW Control Panel and New Big Font Clock all in one hit ! Calvin.

Hi, Great to hear from you. Looking forward to the changes - will make a great clock even BETTER :-) I understand the problem with the fonts - proportional fonts are a pain, but look SOOOO much nicer ! Fortunately, in this case I think you have come up with a very clever implementation. (from the look of it by using right alignment on the clock info) I hadn't even noticed the position changes of the clock digits until somebody pointed it out to me :-P All the best.

Hi Calvin, Thanks. I really appreciate it. Funny you mention adding a year. I actually removed it while developing to make the font bigger ;). I'll see what I can do about adding a configuration option to add it back in. You're right about the Day. Unfortunately the font is variable-width, so "Wed" is really wide but "Fri" is really narrow. I used a different colour with the day to make it stand out, but I'll try to add some space. Hold out for a couple of weeks.

Oops - a minor addtion - 2 spaces between the Day and the date, so that the day stands out a bit more clearly ?

Hi, I REALLY like this clock - best one for the Chumby I have seen yet ! A suggestion if I may - could you adjust the date section so it is formatted as: Day Date Month Year where = space Day is 3 characters (as it is now) Date is 1 or 2 digits (as it is now) Month is 3 characters (as it is now) Year is 4 digits (eg: 2009) This would probably mean a slightly smaller font for the date info, but that would be acceptable to have the additional info on screen.
